Outside of being a Broker/Owner, Wayne and his wife enjoy spending time with their family creating memorable moments. He also enjoys the outdoors, whether it is hiking with his golden retriever, fishing the beautiful creeks, golfing, or sitting on his deck enjoying the vast beauty of this great state.

Wayne looks forward to helping you and your family with your next move in real estate!

About Freda

Finding a real estate agent with whom you are comfortable is key to a pleasant real estate experience. An informed, reliable agent can be a valuable lifetime resource.

I was licensed in Real Estate in 2006 and my husband, Ryan, in 2012 after having spent many years working in the field of residential and commercial energy conservation. That experience enables us to bring a fresh, new perspective to the business of selling real estate. We have toured tens of thousands of homes across the state of Montana with an eye toward efficiency, giving us good perspective on structures of all vintages.

With strong skills in customer service, problem solving, budgeting, and a very comprehensive understanding of residential and commercial building components, we are well equipped to represent clients on both listing and buying sides of a transaction.

We encourage density, walkability, and the preservation and restoration of Helena’s lovely historic urban areas and neighborhoods. Additionally, for those desiring a little more elbow room, we have extensive experience representing buyers and sellers of rural real estate in all of the surrounding Lewis & Clark, Jefferson, and Broadwater counties, including residential, recreation properties, bare land, or farm/ranch. The nice thing about Helena is there are even some properties that satisfy both urban and rural cravings at the same time!

Over the past 21 years, we have remodeled three homes including a comprehensive restoration/update of our 1892 Helena home. In 2012 we were honored with a Lewis and Clark County Historic Preservation Award; evidence that we truly recognize and can help you rationally evaluate the potential in every property!

On a personal note, we are down to earth Helenans who are deeply connected to the community. I love to cook, garden, and hike with my dog, Zoka. Ryan loves live music, football, and in his limited spare time is building a cabin in the Castle Mountains out of an old, repurposed grain bin. We are dedicated to supporting local business and caring for the planet. We attend countless local fundraisers and enjoy gathering with friends for dinner and drinks.

In January of 2009, we committed to making a donation with each closing to the Alternative Energy Resources Organization and their efforts to build sustainability, advocate for alternative energy, and strengthen Montana farmers. Check them out at aeromt.org. We do the same for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Helena, http://www.bbbs-helena.org/.

We have been married for 20 years and have one child. Now more than ever, we understand that priorities change as life unfolds. Regardless of your motivation, when you decide that buying or selling real estate is your next priority, allow us the opportunity to provide exceptional service.

As your Realtors, we will bring a sincere dedication to your interests and an uncommon level of experience. We will listen carefully and help you make informed decisions. We will offer open and prompt communication, straight-forward negotiation, positive energy, a good sense of humor, and a comprehensive knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate in Helena.

Please feel comfortable contacting us any day of the week by phone, email or text.

We look forward to working with you.

About Erin

In 2015 I began my career in real estate at Big Sky Brokers, by way of my Mother/Mentor Maureen Oelkers (Broker/Owner). Our combined 30+ years of experience allowed me to build my skill set exponentially & resulted in a dynamic career partnership between the two of us. In January of 2021 I jumped at the opportunity to become a Broker/Co-Owner at Big Sky Brokers and venture out on my own while my partner Mo tip-toed into retirement.

Growing up in Helena I developed a deep appreciation for the state of Montana. After completing my Bachelors in Communication Studies and Human Relationships at U of M, I spent 10 years traveling the world as well as exploring the US by living and working in Florida, North Carolina and California. I was fortunate enough to spend 12 years in customer service, leadership development and management. My personal and professional experiences as well as my passion for people have wholeheartedly shaped my style of leadership as a Broker. I take pride in my ability to guide clients through the process of home buying and selling with integrity, proficiency & predictability.

Outside of Real Estate my passion is my family. Raising my three wonderful children with my Husband Brett is the best job I’ve ever had. Exploring the world through their eyes is the gift that keeps on giving.

Whether you are coming to Helena or leaving on your own adventure, it would be a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with you.

About Ellen

The world has gotten smaller due to technology and the internet, but technology doesn’t trump experience. I have been a real estate agent/broker for 25 years. When the market is very strong and there are multiple offer situations, or when you receive an involved Home Inspection Report to negotiate, you need an agent who has experience in finding solutions, not someone who is going to “google” for the solutions. It’s convenient to have electronic signatures and virtual tours but that is only part of the big picture. Guiding you through the buying and selling process has many twists and turns and EXPERIENCE DOES MATTER.

I was raised on my family’s ranch near Anaconda MT and graduated from Montana Tech in Butte. I am proud of my roots and love the western heritage and hospitality evident in so many small communities in Montana. Montana doesn’t just have beautiful mountain and good fishing – we have good people who are great neighbors.

I truly believe in Big Sky Brokers’ motto “Because Experience Matters.”

For all your real estate needs, select a professional with education, experience, performance, dedication, reputation, and integrity and someone who is honest, trusting, and caring. I want to be your REALTOR!

About the Sherleys

Anita has been working full time in real estate since 2005 and has found a true calling in helping people pursue their dreams. Anita is highly skilled in real estate transactions and brings her wisdom and years of experience to play in service her clients. Jay joined the Big Sky Brokers team with Anita in 2015. He has managed and owned businesses in town and brings to the table an expertise in negotiation skills and, as an avid sportsman, an in-depth knowledge of land and ranch properties as well as recreational areas and opportunities. Jay and Anita’s daughter, Cassi, joined the team in 2018, bringing with her a passion for organization, experience in graphics design and a love of our community and the surrounding area.

We have a passion for this city, its growth, people and all who value its beauty. We also value hard work, good communication, people and their stories. Our experience in real estate is marked by not only our knowledge of the market and specifics of this industry but also how we deeply care about those we serve. Many of our past clients have said that what started as simply looking for a new home developed into finding friends for life. We value your time and individual needs along with attention to detail within every transaction.

We also value knowledge of the properties and areas in and around Helena, working to stay on the
cutting edge of market knowledge, as well as developments and the regulations for expansion and
building in the county. Anita has been certified with GRI, ABR and taken several CRS classes which simply means she is educated in every aspect of real estate and investments. Jay is also certified with GRI and has done many classes specialized to ranch and land sales.

Outside of real estate, we have been married 36+ years, raised 3 children as well as many others who came to stay. We are immensely proud of our 11 grandkids who all live nearby. In 2006, we founded a non-profit for young adults called Life Houses, Inc., are former Bigs for Big Brothers Big Sisters and avid supporters of the Carroll College Athletic Association (Jay sits on the board). Jay loves the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and telling stories of those adventures, while Anita makes the most of the Helena area through biking, hiking, or kayaking. About Linda

Welcome to Big Sky Brokers!  About me – I was born and raised in Havre, MT.  After high school I attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN for a year as I tried to find a direction for “grown up” life.  I returned to my home state to attend MSU Bozeman where I pursued a degree in Business Management.  After earning my degree, I worked in banking and healthcare before returning to MSU for post-graduate studies in Political Science/Public Administration.  In 1995 I moved to Helena to be closer to family and fell in love with all that Helena has to offer.

My contractor husband and I live on a small hay farm in the north valley with some cows, dog, cats and chickens.  Our human family includes three grown children with families of their own. All three were raised here and I appreciate that this community offers such great schools, recreational and cultural opportunities.  It’s hard to keep a good secret and so over the years I’ve shared with anyone who will listen how wonderful it is to live here.  In these changing times I feel like we’ll see positive growth as people continue to discover the Helena area and make it their choice for first and second homes.  We have a good and stable economy that seems insulated from the booms and bust/ups and downs that other communities have experienced.

My experience ranges from single to multi-family residential, condo living to commercial and investment properties.  I specialize in new construction, residential and condo listings.  Partly because of being involved in agriculture I’m keenly interested in water rights, water quality, septic and waste-water systems.  I’m knowledgeable and a good resource for information on building and construction in Lewis & Clark and Jefferson Counties.

I work as a broker team with Gina Miranti-Mistry who also doubles as my daughter.  We have a strong commitment to client availability, and we go above and beyond to provide a complete and educational home-buying or home-selling experience.  We also love introducing owners to investment properties because we believe that owning real estate is such a perfect way to round out your savings or retirement portfolio.  With our team approach clients benefit from “two for the price of one” attention and representation.

  • Licensed Property Manager 2007
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent 2008
  • Licensed Broker 2010

About Sarah

Hello!

I have been a full-time real estate professional since October, 2004. Full attention and commitment is given to every real estate transaction that I have the privilege to be involved in. My experience includes residential, land, new construction, horse properties, patented mining claims and an occasional commercial transaction. Keeping up-to-date on our local real estate market by regularly examining market statistics and touring new listings weekly on Realtor Tour allows me to help you buy or sell with the greatest of confidence.

I am a Helena native and graduated from Montana State University with a Business (Marketing) Degree after changing majors a couple of times! My varied and interesting work background is the result of being determined to live in my home state.

If you choose to engage me as your Realtor you will find that I am detail-oriented, persistent, loyal, and capable. I operate with the highest commitment to integrity and clear communication. Two designations including Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE) have furthered my real estate skills. Above all it is important to be a good listener.

When I am not working I can usually be found on a horse! I enjoy the challenge of riding and showing cutting horses. Not only does it take top-notch physical skills for both horse and rider, but requires bringing your emotions under control and a “John Wayne” attitude (not too much different than the mental skills required in a real estate transaction). I am past President of the Boulder Area Chamber of Commerce and served as both Vice President and President of the Treasure State Cutting Club. Other memberships include the American Quarter Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, and Montana Cutting Horse Association. The ability to support various ministries and non-profit organizations including God’s Love (a local homeless shelter), Tsering’s Fund (educating girls in Nepal), and Heroes and Horses (veteran pack trips) is important to me.I look forward to meeting you and helping you accomplish your real estate goals.

About Maria

Growing up in the Seattle area with a homebuilding father, I was exposed to real estate at a young age. I took interest in the market’s evolution and ever-changing trends. I was fascinated by the idea of home ownership, an opportunity that should ideally be available to everyone.

In 2003, Carroll College brought me to Helena, Montana. International business and marketing studies introduced me to the local economy and community. I realized Helena was a great place to live, explore, and enjoy a quality life.

While at Carroll College, I was hired as the marketing specialist for Windermere Real Estate -Helena. I spent 3 years learning the ins and outs of real estate, marketing techniques, and conducting transactions. After completing my internship, I decided to pursue my real estate license, entering the business to assist clients with their real estate needs. The opportunity allowed me to put my marketing education to use by helping owners market and sell their homes.

Nine years later, I still love my job. Each day presents new opportunities and challenges. Focusing primarily on new construction and development, I have developed a wide spectrum of knowledge in the home-building process. My collaboration with builders and developers allows homebuyers access to quality-built homes in safe and appealing neighborhoods.

In my spare time my corgi, Crosby, and I try to take advantage of what Helena has to offer: hiking, boating, and camping. During the winter months I enjoy Pilates and yoga, along with skiing and traveling.

About Jackie

Throughout my career, I have excelled in keeping clients happy with an attention to detail and with my ability to anticipate needs. I take great pride in building lasting relationships with clients and working diligently to represent their best interests. Whether you are a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned investor, I am committed to providing you with a positive, professional experience.

Born and raised in Helena, I am blessed to continue to call this beautiful area home. My husband and I have three wonderful children, and we enjoy exploring Montana adventures of every kind as a family. In the winter, we love to ski and snowboard. In the summer, we enjoy hiking, camping, rafting, and playing at the lake! I am also the proud sister of a local celebrity, Elvis Presley (aka Steven). He is Down Syndrome and our family loves to support him in his amazing performances and in his Special Olympics events.

About Gina

I’m a native Montanan, raised in Helena. After graduating from Capital High School, I went on to get my Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Studies from Portland State University. I consider Portland my second home. However, my love of travel and adventure then took me to South Korea where I taught English at a public elementary school. In Korea, I met my husband and we decided to move back to Helena and start our family. My husband, Sunil Mistry, hails from West Yorkshire, UK and we love traveling there to see family. We have three beautiful and wild children.

I joined the Big Sky Brokers team in 2015 and started doing Real Estate with my mother Linda Crofts. Though we are now both brokers we continue to take the team approach. Our mantra is ‘two heads are better than one’. Working as a team allows us to always be available to our clients and in the high-stakes world of real estate time really is of the essence. Being able to get a hold of your agent could be the difference between getting or losing the property. In addition to availability, we offer our clients clarity. We want people to feel empowered in the home buying/selling process and that starts with comprehension. By providing people all the pertinent facts, scenarios, and possible outcomes they can make the decisions that are right for them. I consider it an honor to do what we do because home is truly the most important place in the world. And Montana is an amazing place to make your home. It boasts a high quality of life, majestic scenery, and remarkable people. I love assisting locals and newcomers alike in finding their MT dream.

“Home is where you feel at home and are treated well.”

About Cassi

A Helena native and daughter of two Real Estate Brokers (Jay and Anita), I have a deep love for our local community and a clear understanding of the challenges that home buyers and sellers face in our rapidly shifting market. A graduate of Carroll College in 2008, I spent several years traveling both in an out of the US working for a non-profit organization that specialized in leadership training and community development in Central and South America.

Eventually, those passions (leadership and community development) drew me back to Montana and into Real Estate alongside Jay and Anita in 2018 and I completed a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership a short time later. My experience with organizational systems, graphic design and communication made the transition into the Sherley Team both seamless and highly enjoyable. Leaning on Jay and Anita’s expertise and learning from their years of experience allows me to confidently represent both buyers and sellers alike. My desire to continuously learn the ins and outs of the real estate field provides me with endless opportunities for growth.

In my spare time I teach leadership courses for Manna University online and spend summer weekends camping in my remodeled ’73 Dodge Motorhome, mountain biking or floating the Missouri on my paddle board.

About Zentra

Welcome! My name is Zentra and I would love to help you get to know me a little better. To start off with a bit of background, I grew up in an Air Force family. I know what it is like to start again and find my way in a new community. My family lived in northern Italy before we moved to Cascade, MT and then we transferred to Helena, where I found my true home. I fell in love with the community and the people here.

After attending high school in Helena, I was fortunate to have worked for great local companies and established a strong network of friends and business associates. The combination of a strong local network and a unique understanding of what it is like to pick up and move helped me find Real Estate and I have not looked back. I received my Real Estate License in 2017 and in 2022 received my Broker’s License. Always learning, ever-growing.

Being a Realtor allows me to satisfy my passion to provide high quality customer care.  I am excited to help you have the best experience as we work together to sell your home and find your new home.

When I can, I spend my free time with friends and family in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, rafting, biking, and hiking or snuggled up indoors crafting and playing games.

About Jamie

Jamie Dwyer brings a truly unique set of skills to real estate.

My husband and I both grew up in Montana and we cherish being able to live here and raise our two daughters in Helena. We appreciate the quality of life Montana offers with the recreational resources, close-knit communities, unique history, and so much more. Many people choose to reside here because of the opportunities to engage with the landscape. Our family loves this aspect of Montana; we can often be found skiing, hiking, birding, or hanging out with our border collie who keeps our urban chickens in a group and protected in the backyard. I’m a Helena girl and I look forward to sharing this with you.

I have a background in architecture and sustainability which I have spent the past decade utilizing in the field of biomimicry. I worked globally as a sustainability consultant, instructor, and project manager for a Montana-based biomimicry consulting firm. This experience gave me the chance to travel the world while collaborating with architects, engineers and designers, and enables me to provide a unique set of expertise to my clients.

I’m excited to shift my focus to the local community and the architecture of Helena real estate. I’ve teamed up with Freda and Ryan Wilkinson. They are both Brokers at BSB, and Freda is one of the owners. When working with me, you get the expertise of the three of us and our commitment to excellent service. I will work with you to identify your values and desires for your real estate project, balancing the excitement and stress of buying or selling a property while managing the transaction details. I look forward to working with you and providing a great real estate experience.

About Amy

People Matter. Results Matter. True North Matters.

PEOPLE
Whether you’re buying or selling a home or investment property, I’ll value YOU, your perspective, and your individual goals. All too often the customer’s voice isn’t heard; I’ll establish a relationship with you where your needs come first, and we partner as I educate you through every step of the selling and buying process, and you help me understand your ultimate dreams.

A native Montanan, I grew up on Hauser lake in the ‘70s, where my family created many wonderful memories. I spent much of my adult life out of state—in Portland, OR, graduating with an accounting and finance degree at The University of Portland, and in Washington, D.C., as a young professional and business owner. I returned back to this state that I love over ten years ago, and came full-circle, right back to the lake home of my youth.

RESULTS
Thanks to my partnership with Mark Stahly, Owner and Broker of Big Sky Brokers, when you work with me, you get two heads for the price of one. With this partnership in our work, we have a full understanding of the purchase and sale of residential, investment and commercial property, and land.

My past small business and financial experience enables me to bring you a smart, data-driven decisionmaking perspective to the business of selling and buying real estate. As a past Development Director for several large associations in Washington, D.C., and sole proprietor her in Helena, I’ve successfully negotiated multiple large-dollar contracts and understand the critical importance of representing your negotiation throughout the sell/buy process.

I’m passionate about ongoing challenges and new opportunities, and I ultimately value RESULTS. And my love of fulfilling people’s goals and helping them achieve success brings you the heart and soul perspective to one of the most important personal and financial investments of your life. I’ve successfully worked with people of all backgrounds, ages and interests in a diversity of business and community settings. And as a side gig, I’m a group fitness instructor at Capital City Health Club, where I partner and coach for results—to veteran athletes and new clients alike. Similarly, you can expect me to empower you to achieve your best results in your real estate transactions.

“TRUE NORTH” MATTERS
Everything I do is guided by my personal “TRUE NORTH”—my unswerving commitment to do the right thing by my clients, through my work and in my community. I commit to doing buying and selling right. I’m grateful for the qualityof life my hometown of Helena provides, and regularly donate to and volunteer for a wide range of events and fundraisers which benefit our community and our Montana way of life. Specifically, each real estate closing benefits Big Brother Big Sister of Helena (http://www.bbbs-helena.org/.)

My greatest joys are experiences with my teenage daughter Olivia, my personal and business partner Mark Stahly, and my dad Bob. As a family, we boat, water and snow ski, camp, bike, hike and stay young together. We are down-to-earth, we laugh a lot, and we like to have fun. Please contact me if you’d like to talk about your options and opportunities, under no obligation.

About Tish

Hi – and thank you for visiting our website to search for an agent and property that will meet your needs and fulfill your goals!

I grew up on the Hi-line of Montana and learned the value of honesty, hard work, and integrity – all of which are the cornerstones of my professional career. I come from a long line of hard working, tough, independent women. My great-grandmother and her two sisters picked up from Minnesota and moved to the Havre area to homestead in the early 1900s. Through perseverance and dedication, they became the first three Registered Nurses in Montana. I was fortunate enough to know my great grandparents, experience their work ethic and learn first-hand the value of honesty, endurance and true grit.

While I was born and raised in Montana, I wanted to see the world and embarked on several adventures as soon as I graduated from Havre High School. I worked in a fish cannery in Alaska for a time, meeting and working with people from all over the world. One summer while at University of Montana, I sold educational books door-to-door in Kentucky and Ohio, capping off the summer by driving to the east coast to see the country. I had never even been on a toll road before and there I was, trying to navigate New York City traffic by myself! But Montana called me back home. I lived in Missoula for seven years, while attending both U of M and the College of Technology, where I received my Culinary Arts certificate and met my wonderful husband Craig. We moved to Helena in 1997 and love everything about this area! This community has so much to offer!

I have had a few careers in my life, but the common denominator in all of them is customer service. I have been working in customer service for 35 years because I love connecting with people! In my 14 years as a certified optician at Montana Eyecare in Helena, I developed many valuable relationships with customers who I can now honestly call my friends. I enjoy working with people to help them meet their goals. Real estate is a natural progression for me – developing relationships in order to help people with one of the most important transactions of their lives!

In my free time you will find me enjoying this beautiful state boating, fishing, swimming, camping, mountain biking, hiking or tinkering in the garage with my newest hobby – welding furniture and art. I have a deep appreciation for all that my native state has to offer and would love to help you buy or sell your Montana home. Call me, I would love to share what this beautiful community has to offer!

About Marcia

Greetings!

My name is Marcia Ellermeyer and although not born and raised in Montana, my roots here are strong. My father was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. After graduating from the University of Montana in Missoula, he married my mom and decided to leave the state to explore opportunities on both the east and west coasts. I grew up mostly in western Pennsylvania, and yes, I am a die-hard Steeler and Penguins fan! In 1994, my husband John and I decided to move west. We moved to Helena to be near family and the rest is a dream come true. We are so lucky to live and work in this wonderful community!

For the last 20 years I have worked as a licensed insurance producer, and I have a wide range of experience in sales and marketing with a focus on building strong relationships and customer loyalty. In addition, my husband and I have many years of experience in real estate investment and development, having navigated the subdivision process with the county and sold multiple spec homes. My experience, both personally and professionally, has prepared me for this new chapter and I am so excited to be focusing exclusively on real estate. Even more thrilling is the opportunity to advise and guide others through this exciting process.

While building a successful career and family, I have also served on the School Board for East Helena Public Schools for over 20 years. I am fortunate to be part of the growth and development of East Helena, most recently guiding the school through the transition from a K-8 to a K-12 district, building a new elementary school and finally building a new high school. I am grateful to be a part of this incredible school district and community.

I spend my spare time with friends and family enjoying the beautiful state of Montana, planning the next travel adventure, and watching football and hockey.

I am both honored and privileged to be partnering with Mark Stahly and Amy Omang. Clients will have the advantage of three dedicated professionals with many years of experience in real estate, service and commitment. Whether buying, selling or investing, contact me for all your real estate needs. I am committed to providing quality service and I look forward to the opportunity to advise and guide you through the process of buying or selling your property.
